The term "residential treatment center" is often used to describe a program or treatment facility where a parent sends a troubled teen for therapy and treatment. These residential treatment centers range from 6-12 month periods and sometimes longer. Residential treatment centers are highly effective when coupled with the appropriate seminar structure and after-care plan.
